A lady had him and had seen our original Facebook post and she made one herself.
  • 04
A man got in touch with her and said he had originally given this dog to another guy and he had been trying to contact him after initially seeing our post and then the ladies post the following day.
  • 05
The man he gave him to never answered so this morning the original owner picked him up and took the dog back home with him.
  • 06
I can't believe a guy took this dog and said he was going to give. him a good home and just let him wander off (or dropped him off) in the middle of December and said fuck it.
  • 07
I am so glad that he made it back to the original owner because after it was taken from me my thoughts went to "oh no,he is gonna be put down".
  • 08

OP Illustrious Money4490 With all the love I seen on here there was no way I was going to leave you guys hanging. This sub gives me hope for humanity, lots of caring people on here. Have a happy holiday season to everyone on this sub (well except for the guy that called me a narc ,I'll pray for his sobriety)

Edit added context - It's wild that someone grabbed him from my house and dropped him in the middle of nowhere but we are thinking it might have been one of my neighbors. Think they got tired of seeing him hanging around and dropped the poor guy in the middle of nowhere. That to me is fucking cruel as hell

Successful-Oil6840 Thanks for the update. I hope this turns out well for the little guy in the long term.

OP Illustrious Money4490 Such a sweet dog, wish I could've kept him. It was wild that someone scooped him up from my house and dumped him in the middle of nowhere(thinking one of my neighbors did )but the lady that found him seen a truck drop him off out by her house. If I hadn't heard anything else of him my thoughts would've been that he got put down. With how relieved I was to get a good update there was no way I was going to leave you guys hanging

charinly This poor little guy I hate to say it, but being that the original owner gave him away to start with, chances are he's going to wind up being rehomed yet again. Sometimes the cards these pups are dealt really suck. OP you are a good person for trying to help him & for updating.

OP Illustrious Money4490 The reason I am hopeful is because he didn't have to pick him up. If he wanted to he could've stayed silent. I'm hopeful this lil dog is going to be all right. I prefer this over him being sent to the pound
  • 17
charinly I'm going to hope that he regretted giving him away & was glad to go get him. At the least, he felt the responsibility to pick him up, which is a good thing

OP Illustrious Money4490 My thinking was if he was simply trying to dump him and didn't give a shit he wouldn't have come forward. He told the lady where he retrieved him from he was gonna be more diligent before giving him away again. I hope so ,love that lil dog.

You know what was strange to me? For a lil dog he certainly had a deep bark I was in my house the other night and heard what sounded like a 100 pound dog barking and my first thought was "oh no, some big dog is hurting the lil guy on my porch ". I went out and it was just him and he continued barking and I was like "damn, that bark doesn't sound like it should be coming from such a tiny guy "

PhoenixCryStudio Oh my goodness this poor pup. I hope the original owner can love him forever or at the very least give him to a real home. I definitely don't understand stealing a dog to then drive it 10 miles away...does your wife have an alibi ?
  • 21
OP Illustrious Money4490 We have a theory that my neighbor was the person that was given the dog. I even reached out asked him if it was his and he said no. We think once he started seeing my posts on FB that he thought about getting rid of the evidence. It's all conjecture but I believe this to be the case. The guy is a meth head

redit94024 Sincerely hope there is a good life ahead for this sweetheart.
  • 23
OP Illustrious Money4490 I do too.Hd is such a sweet pup and I really wish I could've kept him but my dog is older and she has cancer. It would've crushed her if we brought a new dog into the fold and didn't want to risk him being aggressive or her for that matter, with each other

CompetitiveOne5518 may I ask what state he is in?
  • 25
    OP Illustrious Money4490 Tennessee
  • 26
CompetitiveOne5518 he doesn't look well cared for. Next time I'm sure one of us would adopt him forever.
  • 27
OP Illustrious Money4490 Well the original owner had adopted him out so maybe while he was adopted out the new owner neglected him. Though irl he was well groomed and didn't appear emaciated.
  • 28
I wouldn't be so sure someone on here would adopt him. Out of all the responses it wasn't mentioned once. I'm not saying that in a negative way I'm just stating it wasn't once mentioned as a factual statement. I would've certainly entertained that idea if it was mentioned

Euphoric-Scallion622 Thank you for all you did for this precious dog. You will surely be blessed. A lot of people would not do this. You are an angel on Earth Edit what state is this in? -
  • 30
OP Illustrious Money4490 I appreciate the sentiment but I simply have a soft spot for animals. I also can identify with being given up on, I'm a recovering addict. We are In Tennessee
  • 31
Kratech So so so many people do this. I work at animal control and we pick up SO MANY dogs from places where it's obvious someone picked them up drove them 10-60minutes away and resumed. It's sad when they are by major highways and end up hit... we sadly pick up a lot of dead dogs from these situations

OP Illustrious Money4490 I love animals better then people. Dogs make better people then humans
